So much has happened in the last several years it has been hard for me to do everything and blogging fell to the wayside.
After two horrible years in court amidst COVID craziness my ex and I settled out of court in 2022. Those were terrible years that I never thought I’d survive both emotionally and financially. With the help of my boyfriend and a lot of therapy I made it through. I am still digging out of my financial hole from lawyer fees but I can see the light.
Shortly after settling I lost my job with the company I had been with for 17 years. I was heartbroken and once again fearful of losing everything. Lucky for me pharmacists are in high demand once more. I started working again a month later and was promoted within a year. It sounds great but this is retail pharmacy. My time was consumed with work, sleep and trying to find time for my girls and boyfriend.
Financially though it was what I needed. It allowed us to have our first vacation in years. We booked an Air B and B off the gulf coast in Texas. Our first night there my boyfriend proposed on a pier overlooking the ocean. The rest of the week we soaked up the sun and played tourist for a week.
This spring I was laid off again and saw it as an opportunity to get out of retail. After a short job hunt I found a job as the Pharmacist in Charge in a very small specialty pharmacy. I work Monday through Friday and have all major holidays off. The improved hours have allowed me to enroll my girls in martial arts where they are thriving.
With my new found free time I finally finished the quilt I started last year and am quilting another now. I have also returned to writing and editing my books. I am also hoping to redo several of my book covers.
