The Chunky, Spunky, Dumpy Monkey: Lucky Proves the Bullies Wrong is a new children’s book written by Erika M Szabo.

Lucky is a happy little monkey going about her day in the jungle. She is polite and well mannered. Lucky helps other animals and is kind. Her mother thinks she’s beautiful as all mothers do.

The other animals weren’t so kind. They called Lucky names and make fun of her. Lucky had no idea why they would do that and it hurt her feelings. Lucky cried and cried until a new friend came along. To find out how Lucky proved her bullies wrong you’ll have to read the book.

This children’s book has a great lesson for little ones. The illustrations are colorful and draw your attention. I loved the bright backgrounds and happy monkeys.

My daughter loved this book and said it was perfect for kids a few years younger. She’s eight now. As a parent I would be happy reading this book to my children at night. Bullying is a subject on everyone’s mind these days and giving kids a positive way to deal with it is very helpful.

Over all I would give this book five stars and highly recommend it to all my friends with children younger than 7.
